With reference to Your Lordship's telegram

of the 23rd September in which I learn with regret that for reasons of health Mr. D. Jaffé is compelled to retire from the service on pension, I have the honour to report that I have granted him a pension at the rate of £230 per annum with effect from the 19th September, 1919, and that the Crown Agents have been instructed to issue payments to him as they

fall due.
